leadership of the Women's Missionary Society provides meaningful youth
training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of
church life. By providing training in Evangelism, Christian Social Relations,
and Education programs the YPD is designed to connect youth more fully to the
mission of the church and increase knowledge of the African Methodist
Episcopal Church history
To GIVE direction to young people by GUIDING them in the direction they should GO as they GROW in grace and GLOW in the love for the goodness of God.
Midwest Conference YPD Director
Mrs. Angela Cordier
I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so very honored to serve as the Midwest YPD Director for the next two years. This year the YPD will continue to focus on service with the church and community.
We will also align ourselves with the 5th District and Bishop Fugh’s theme of “Restoring Temple Order”. Our YPD will extend their learning from the classroom to learning more about our Zion,
President Joseph and his Executive Board’s main focus is community outreach, evangelism, and fellowship. As 1 Chronicles states; “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.”
Our YPDers are strong and courageous. Please let us continue to encourage them.
GLOW and GO FOR CHRIST!
Midwest Conference YPD Director
I greet you with the happy spirit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have the grateful opportunity to serve in the capacity of President in the Midwest Conference Young People’s and Children’s Division. I am very excited to serve the youth as their president for the next two conference years entering into Quadrennial, and am very proud of the team that has been elected to serve alongside myself to continue to nurture our youth in their GROWing, GLOWing, and GOing for Christ Jesus.
As an Executive Board we plan to be #ChargedUp for these next two conference years as we push our youth into excellence. Romans 12:2 says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. We will be renewing ourselves, communities, and works of fellowship for the betterment of creating a Holy Nation. All we ask is for support, guidance, prayers, and encouragement. Thank You!
